The AI-search visibility guide for B2B SaaS
What GEO/AEO actually means, and the six things to fix first.
Last updated
1. Buyers ask AI before they search
"Best [category] for [use case]" is a prompt to ChatGPT or Perplexity now, not just a query typed into Google. If you’ve only optimized for search rankings, you’re optimizing for half the funnel.
2. AI answers cite sources — usually 3 to 8 of them
Getting cited depends on having a clear, extractable answer to the exact question on a page the engine can crawl — not on backlinks alone.
3. Structure beats prose density
Answers get lifted from pages with direct question-and-answer framing, comparison tables and defined terms — not from paragraphs that bury the answer in the third sentence.

Check my visibility4. Schema still matters, just for a different reader
FAQ, Product and Organization schema help AI crawlers parse your page the same way they help rich results — treat it as infrastructure, not an SEO afterthought.
5. Track mentions, not just rankings
A rank tracker won’t tell you if ChatGPT recommends a competitor instead of you. That needs a prompt corpus and a repeat measurement — see the Methodology page.
6. Fix the gap, then remeasure
Rewriting one page rarely moves a score by itself. Treat each gap as a task, ship the fix, and check the next weekly run — a single run is too noisy to trust.
